A deadly eruption happened in Western Indonesia over the weekend, killing seven people and covering several villages with black ash. The volcano we’re talking about is Mount Sinabung, in the island of Sumatra. On saturday it blasted volcanic ash as high as 3 kilometers, other than erupting pyroclastic flows and rivers of lava that killed hundreds of animals around the mountain.
The seven men, who were killed by the huge cloud of hot gas, all lived in the village of Gamber, four kilometers from the volcano. In the last seven years Mount Sinabung already erupted eight times, making it one of the most active volcanos of Indonesia.
