Who can say no to miniature art? It’s tiny, it’s adorable and it almost never fails to lighten the mood. Add to this a sprinkling of everyday objects from real life and you find yourself soaking in art you can relate to.
The latest entrant in the neighbourhood of all things cute is Atlanta-based artist Desirée De León’s ‘100 Days of Tiny Things,’ a series of original ink drawings featuring small objects (fruits, flowers, coins, stones etc.) that make up our lives. The former teacher and now PhD neuroscience student claims to find as much inspiration from the complexities of a brain as she does from a blank canvas.
The resulting pieces of art speak for themselves.
León’s work can be bought here.
