The film is an emotional journey of a Gay rights activist, Harvey Milk. His prolonged struggle and his failures make the film quite emotional. You cannot help but feel Milk’s pain. The tragic end leaves you in tears.

And when the characters meet their end in such a tragic way, you automatically have tears in your eyes.

Out of the numerous films that have been inspired by Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, this is the one that definitely stands out.
Aamir Khan made one of the most powerful debuts ever. The scene where both of them decide to end their lives, makes you cry every time you watch it.

This film is often considered as Rajesh Khanna’s best work. The unusual love story of a prostitute and a married man made the entire country weep.
