Past Australian veteran wicket-specialist batsman Adam Gilchrist compliments his birthday yesterday, and went to one of his closest Friend in cricket.
Gilchrist, who turned 45-years old, went to India’s batting maestro at the last’s home in Mumbai.
Sachin Tendulkar encouraged the Aussie star and surprised him with a unique birthday cake with the words “Gilly” on it. A captivated Gilchrist proceeded to post a photograph and a subtitle on his Twitter account.
Gilchrist has 55 stumpings and 417 Cathes to his name in One-Day International (ODI) cricket, a record that was broken by Sri Lanka’s Kumar Sangakkara in 2015.
With the bat, the delicate batsman scored 5,570 continues running in 96 Tests at an ordinary of 47.60. In ODIs, he scored 9,619 continues running from 287 matches at a strike rate of 96.94.
