Right now, we are 7.4 billion people strong, and if you just sit and observe the magnitude at which we are growing, you’re going to be quite flabbergasted. As our population grows, we’re eating more space, leaving more marks, and spreading more debris. Our planet has never been dirtier and in this moment it’s the cleanest it will ever be — so what do you think?
Many human activities result in pollution, deforestation, erosion and a host of other problems. A new documentary made with the help of NASA reveals the sad realities of how we are damaging our planet.
According to a former astronaut, Marsha Ivins, who was first selected by NASA in 1984 and has spent 1,300 hours in space, the human impact on our planet is vast.
In her documentary A Beautiful Planet, she shows footage of the Earth taken from the International Space Station along with sharing bits and pieces of their life in space.
The documentary throws light on the human footprint and its huge impression on this fragile planet.
A lot of countries have come up in order to fight this challenge, introducing curbs on the carbon emission and pollution produced by respective industries. But it’s not just them – every single one of us can make the change, and every tiny change matters.
