In what has become a natural disaster in Norway – one of the cleanest and most responsible corners of the planet – 300 reindeers succumbed to a strike of lightning.
Talk about nature’s wrath!
The incident took place on the Hardangervidda mountain plateau in Central Norway on Friday. A spokesperson from the Norwegian Environment Agency has stated that while it is not uncommon to find a large number of reindeer huddling together to protect each other from a storm, or of a few dying by a lightning strike, so many of them have never been killed in such circumstances before.
The reindeer were on their migration path across the plateau in search of better grazing grounds. Of the 323 animals killed, 70 were calves.
What kind of God would do this?
